Description

Built in the mid-19th century, extensively altered.

Charles Gidlow Jackson, colliery owner, was living here in 1877.

Also, the residence of  Wm. Rogers, J.P., mining engineer, ex-Mayor of Wigan, and President of the National Association of Colliery Managers who died at Longhurst in 1890 aged 44 years.

Sold in the Haigh Estate Auction in 1943.
