Mosley Common School, now St John’s Mosley Common CofE Primary School, on Commonside
Road Mosley Common was founded by a group of inhabitants of the area by subscription on
the 1 st of June 1822 as a ‘Sunday School’. A brick built and slate roofed building with a rose
window in the west end was erected. (see drawing)
