Standish Hall Garden Cottages and outbuildings
Standish Hall Farm, Standish
Part of Group:
At Risk: No
Two "Garden Cottages" and outbuildings. Visible on the 1763 Standish Estate Map. The two cottages have an unusual design having three gable ends on the front elevation with three pitched slate rooves. They were cottages used by employees of the Standish Estate and backed on to the walled garden. They were occupied by gardening staff and gamekeepers at various times. The outbuildings backed on to the hothouses and will have contained the heating system for them.
